Pair of double barrel percussion Howda pistols

Pair of double barrel percussion Howda pistols by Maybury and Sons, the 6 inch 16 bore browned barrels engraved Maybury and Sons 15 St. Mary's Square Birmingham, with platinum breech plugs and fitted with swivel ramrods, the scroll engraved actions with safety catches, pineapple finial trigger guards and chequered stocks with vacant silver escutcheons, barrel wedge plates and traps to the steel butt caps. Together with a pair of boxlock pistols by Butler with 1.5 inch .54 bore barrels, fitted into a 19th century mahogany campaign case with brass mounts, and including mother of pearl decorated powder flask and various other accessories.

Section 58(2) antique/ obsolete calibre no licence required to buy this lot, purchaser must be over the age of 18.

Dimensions: The case measures 50.5cm wide
