Licensed "Early Wood Chess Set" Re-Edition After Man Ray

Produced in Germany in 2012 under license of the Man Ray Trust, crafted in beech wood to Man Ray's original design of 1920, boxed (without board).
Dimensions: King 8.3cm high
Man Ray designed this radical and pioneering chess set in 1920 based on Euclidean geometric 'ideal forms' with the knight based on a 'found object' displaying the properties of the Fibonacci sequence defining spiral growth patterns, the head scroll of a violin; for reference an original set is held in the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art - https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/480922
