Casartelli & Son Manchester, gilt metal cylinder case with 4.5cm (2in) dial incorporating vernier, reverse side with thermometer and compass all contained within red leather carrying case, vernier with tarnished section approximately 1cm long, double opening hinged case, red leather in fair order, internally red silk to one lid disintegrated.
