Japanese Katana, 664mm blade and 13mm curvature, the tang signed Cho Un Sai E-Mura Saku, Showa period 1926-1989, with Akasaka Tsuba.
Chounsai Emur (d.1960) was a chief warden of the Okayama prison which had a forge. Here he made swords but also taught prisoners to make blades which were donated to the armed forces.
