A Large and Rare "Shooting a Leopard in a Tree" Serving Dish by Spode, circa 1820, from the 'Spode Indian Sporting' series, the transfer-printed pattern designed after the illustrations of Samuel Howitt in the monthly publication Wild Sports of the East, titled Shooting a Leopard and bearing stamped Spode 1 mark to reverse, presented with "Antique Blue and White Spode", Third Edition, by Sydney B. Williams, pub. Omega Books Ltd., London 1987.

Dimensions: 40cm x 51.5cm

Private collection, Merseyside, acquired at the Bleak House Sale in Bollington, December 1961.
