Mid 20th Century table top casket having individual pewter panels, and green hard stone decorative detailing. The panels were sent to celebrities and notables of the time for their signatures which were subsequently engraved over and mounted. Included are some original letters and lists, with names such as Malcolm Campbell, Bing Crosby,Walt Disney, Sybil Thorndike, Augustus John, J. B. Priestley, Henry Cotton, Neville Chamberlain, J.B. Hobbs, Don Bradman, Cab Calloway, The Mills Brothers, G Marconi, Sylvia Pankhurst, A.A. Milne and others. Base and casket are attached, measures 59cm wide, 33cm deep, 28cm high.
