Collection of Rockingham brown glaze ware

Fascinating collection of Rockingham Pottery paperwork and a collection of related Rockingham brown glaze ware circa 1842, the paperwork to include a Receipt dated November 25th 1856 for the sale of the 'Rockingham Brown Glaze' an agreement between Mr Speight (gilder at the factory) and Alfred Baguley as well as the recipie for the glaze, also a letter to Mr Bower from M.A. Robson dated Oct.30th 1902 enquiring if Mr Bower still had the 'Rockingham Books' with information to pottery recipes and if not if he knew of its whereabouts, the pottery to include a moustache cup and saucer monogrammed 'EJB', (possibley for Mr Bowers) basket weave cup and saucer, two coffee cups and saucers, three bowls, lidded butter dish, and one other tea cup and coffee cup, various printed marks to bases, (15)

Mr Bower is the current vendors Grandfather (who died in the early 1920's) Mr Bower was a builder (and undertaker) working in Swinton. Mr Bower is through to have undertaken building work for Rockingham and was never paid following the bankruptcy of the factory.
