An Impressive Late 19th Century Exhibition Size Floor Vase with Ormolu Mounts, the tapered body with everted neck and decorated in an 'underwater' scheme with a stylised octopus in enamels amongst coral in gilt, all over applied with a 'brushstroke' ground of pale aqua and gold, the neck and base with applied ormolu mounts, both ornately cast and pierced with foliate scrolls, the base with solid plate supporting the vase so any marks obscured, no visible marks to mounts, these likely French manufacture.

Dimensions: 82cm high, 31cm diameter at shoulder
