* Gilbert & George first met while studying sculpture in St Martins School of Art in London. Since then, their prolific output of highly original and striking art has earned them the Turner Prize and huge international acclaim. The duo refer to themselves as 'living sculptures' and their best known works - their vivid large-scale photo-montages - often feature the artists themselves, as well as a diverse range of images inspired by their daily London environment.

Artists’ Resale Right (“droit de suite”) may apply to this lot.
