King James I, Crown, 1624.

King James I, Crown, Third coinage (1619-25), King on horseback with grass ground line, colon stops on obverse, no stops on reverse, mm. trefoil (1624) R. QVAE DEVS plumes over shield to denote the use of silver that has been mined from Cardiganshire, Wales, silver, weight 30g, S.2665, about VF and toned with an old ticket.

The abbreviated Latin legends translate as on the obverse, "James, by the grace of God, King of Great Britain, France and Ireland," and on the reverse "What God hath joined together let no man put asunder."
