A quintessentially Italian jewellery house, Mario Buccellati founded his brand in 1919. Renowned for drawing inspiration from Venetian and Renaissance designs, Buccellati uses traditional Italian techniques to create fine jewellery. In 1949, Buccellati was commissioned to create an icon for Princess Margaret by Pope Pius XII, of which is on view at the Chianciano Museum in Tuscany. The first American store was established in New York in 1954, followed by Palm Beach in 1958. In 1965, after the death of Mario, the management of the firm was conducted by four of his five sons. Buccellati continues to create fine jewellery to this day and these pieces are highly sought-after in our jewellery auctions.
