Krementz & Co. Jewellery

Krementz & Co was established by George Krementz in 1866 in New Jersey, originally manufacturing cufflinks, tie clasps and similar jewellery for gentlemen. Indeed, they were largely credited as the inventors of the one-piece collar button, as well as other innovative men's jewellery designs, quickly gaining worldwide repute for their work.

It wasn't until the 1930s that the firm expanded into the manufacture of women's jewellery, during this time they also patented a gold-plating technique similar to Sheffield silver plating, and expanded their 10k and 14k 'Diana' jewellery lines. The gold jewels produced by Krementz, particularly those gem-set examples from the 1930s onwards are highly sought-after and sell well at auction with both national and international buyers.

Our specialist Fine Jewellery & Watch auctions are held 4 times a year and include the whole spectrum of jewellery, from modern and designer pieces to antique jewels, coloured gemstone jewellery to fine diamond rings.
