Smith & Pepper

 

Founded by Mr Smith and his uncle Mr Pepper in 1899, Smith & Pepper were a jewellery manufacturers based in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham. Manufacturers of gold jewellery to include bangles, bracelets, rings, earrings and chains, Smith & Pepper established a reputation for quality and stylish jewels.

Creating a wonderful output of jewels to include snake necklaces and bangles, swallow jewellery, chain bracelets, hinged bangles, cufflinks, charm bracelets, as well as gem-set pendants, brooches and earrings, Smith & Pepper produced a fabulous array of wearable, everyday jewellery that continues to sell well under the hammer. Production continued for much of the 20th century, until 1981 when the Smith family retired, leaving all of their goods, tools and equipment behind. The premesis at 75-79 Vyse Street now comprise the Jewellery Quarter Museum.  

Our specialist Fine Jewellery & Watch auctions are held four times a year and include the whole spectrum of jewellery, from modern and designer pieces to antique jewels, coloured gemstone jewellery to fine diamond rings.
