Finishing the year in Style

Day One - Jewellery and Watches

The final Fine Art Auction of 2019 took place on the 20th-21st November at Peter Wilson’s Nantwich saleroom, with some fantastic results that will ensure many of our clients have a very merry Christmas indeed!

The top lot from Wednesday’s sale of Jewellery, Watches and Silver was an impressive diamond ring, set with a 4.03ct principal stone and wonderful baguette cut diamond shoulders. With battling bidders on the phones and in the room, the hammer fell at top estimate for £18,000. Of the sale, jewellery specialist Liz Bailey MA FGA DGA said “the quality of this beautiful ring was undeniable, with a fantastic clarity of VS and a beautiful geometric design that really highlighted the ‘hall of mirrors’ effect seen in emerald and step cut diamonds. It is no surprise there was fierce competition on the day – it is a truly breathtaking piece.”

The watches section saw a limited edition Franck Muller 18ct gold Conquistador Cortez wristwatch with box and papers sell for £4,100.
