Bueche Girod watches exemplify a post-war exuberance combined with excellent precision movements. Set in textured golds, and adorned with precious and semi precious gemstones, these eye-catching watches attract quite a following at auction and typically sell well.
Bueche Girod was founded in 1947 by master watchmaker Vital Bueche and quickly gained a reputation for exceptional movements. The firm was responsible for producing movements for companies such as Bulova. Alongside this, Bueche Girod produced predominantly ladies dress watches, set in 9 and 18ct gold and decorated with semi previous gemstone dials, diamond and coloured gemstone bezels and fancy bracelets. Bueche Girod ceased production in the 2000s, and their beautifully crafted watches have become highly collectable.
