Thomas Russell & Son Watches

As an auctioneers based in the North West, Thomas Russell & Son pocket watches and wristwatches appear fairly regularly. With roots in Lancashire, before moving to Liverpool in the early 19th century, this watchmaking dynasty is sought-after for its consistently quality movements, chronographs and case detailing. Signed to the movement and/or dial with the shortened 'Thos. Russell & Sons,' and accompanied by the headquarters of the time - Slater St Liverpool, Church St Liverpool, or just Liverpool - these pocket watches are easily identified and sell well to collectors via auction.

How much is my Thos Russell & Son pocket watch worth?

Chronograph, full hunter pocket watches set in 18ct gold sell remarkably at auction, particularly those in good condition. Chronograph dials with an outer track, with 60 at the 12 position, or dials with two or more subsidiary dials all attract the very best prices at auction. Unusual designs, with patterned or enamelled cases sell well too.

Also achieving great prices are 9ct gold Those Russell & Son pocket watches, in working order and clean condition.
