Vertex Cocktail Watches at Auction
Celebrated for stylish and dazzling cocktail watches and bracelet watches, Vertex produced a stunning selection of early to mid 20th century diamond set cocktail watches. Set with brilliant, old, and baguette cut diamonds, occasionally interspersed with calibre cut sapphires, these breathtaking cocktail watches sell well at auction. Decorative bracelet and cuff watches with concealed dials and set in 18ct gold also sell exceptionally well for their stylish flair.
Vertex 'Dirty Dozen' Watches at Auction
During the Second World War the British Ministry of Defence tasked 12 watch companies with the role of producing watches that were fit for military action. One of the famed 'Dirty Dozen' watchmakers, and the only British contributor, Vertex produced 15,000 timepieces of its cal. 59, 15 jewel manual wind wristwatch. These wristwatches are rare, and so are incredibly sought-after by collectors, keen to complete the set!
Characterised by their 'W.W.W' inscription to case back, broad arrow to dial, black dial, arabic markers, luminous dots and hands within a stainless steel case, these watches are certainly worth selling at auction.
