Militaria is a term used to describe weapons, uniforms, and other military equipment. It can also refer to historical artifacts. Collecting militaria can be a fun and profitable hobby and there are various ways to go about starting a collection. Some people collect just for monetary value, while others are interested in the history behind the items.
Militaria may be a small item, but it's often more than meets the eye. In fact, militaria can be an excellent investment if you find a rare item with a unique provenance. A WWII helmet is a popular example. These helmets were made to be sturdy and they were usually worn by specific units that were identifiable to both enemies and allies.
