Patrick Mavros Jewellery

"Sculpture in Silver"

A fifth generation Zimabwean, Patrick Mavros is renowned for capturing wildlife in lustruous silver and gold. Acclaimed for his "sculpture in silver," Mavros' interests lie in the full spectrum of Africa's wildlife. Using Sterling Silver produced and refined as part of Zimbabwe's mining process, Mavros uses a meticulous nine-stage process forming his own characteristic take on the traditional 'lost wax' processing originating in Egyptian times. Creating works that are revered worldwide as 'graceful symbols of Africa,' Mavros' work continues to garner great attention in the auction sphere.
