Jewellery Auction Results
Recent hammer highlights include the sale of a late 19th Century Grand Tour intaglio necklace, comprising twenty-seven hardstone carvings. This unique piece sold for a fantastic £28,000. Dazzling diamond rings with outdated insurance valuations have sold over and above our vendor’s expectations for £18,000. Other discoveries have ensured the sale of a Burmese ruby and diamond cluster ring for £58,000. Our Jewellery department comprises FGA and DGA qualified staff, with years of experience in the industry. Head of department Liz Bailey MA FGA DGA CPAA brings with her a wealth of experience in the auction industry, as well as a passion for antique jewellery. With a Master's degree in Antiques that specialised in Georgian sentimental jewellery, together with her qualifications awarded by the Gemmological Association of Great Britain, De Beers Diamond Institute and the Cultured Pearl Association of America, Liz is dedicated to providing an informed, personable and commercially relevant approach to the sale of jewellery. Liz is dedicated to continuing her growth and knowledge of the subject, reforming the North West Gem- A branch in 2020, providing the region with educational talks, events and webinars given by industry experts.
