The White Falcon one of the most iconic and eye catching instruments of the Gretsch line up. First produced in 1954 as a showcase for the NAMM music show, it received such adoration it went into production and has remained in the Gretsch catalogue to this day. The instrument featured in our 25th April Musical Instrument Sale was made in 2008 to commemorate 125 years of that ‘Great Gretsch Sound’ and carries a plaque on the back of the headstock. In absolutely mint condition this guitar carries a presale estimate of £1,400 – 1,800
Also included in the auction is a rare Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster finished in ‘Bad Boy Blue’ a see through finish showing off the ash grained solid body underneath. With ebony fingerboard and fast playing action the guitar features S1 Switching offering even more tonal variations to the Strats arsenal. The Bad Boy Stratocaster is estimated at £600-800.
On a five string note, we have just received a gorgeous Gibson Mastertone RB250 Banjo featuring a Fults Cumberland Tailpiece upgrade. This clever tailpiece allows the player the option of altering string tension and ultimately tone and playablity. The Gibson is expected to sell for £1,100 – 1,500.
