Pair of English porcelain plaques attributed to the Derby artist Richard Ablott circa 1845, painted with scenes titled Buttermere Lake and Windamere Lake, together with a letter from John Twitchett as curator of the Royal Crown Derby Museum attributing the painting to Ablott, mounted within gilt frames, the plaques measure 14.5 x 20.5cm Condition report: One plaque has a minor 3mm chip to the front edge hidden partially by the frame. Whilst there is no damage or restoration to rest of the faces of the plaques, the edges cannot be guaranteed free from chips due to the framing. The frames show signs of wear and woodworm damage.
