T. Earle Hesketh violin, Grand Model Guarnerius del Gesu, single piece back with red brown varnish, No. GHY, dated 1938, with case and two unmarked bows and original sale receipt.
The violin was played professionally by Robert Colderley who trained at the London College of Music. The instrument is accompanied by the original sale receipt when it was purchased by William Colderley, Robert's father in 1938. The online images illustrated Robert Colderley's LCM certificate however this is not included with the lot.
