Edward Paton 20 bore thumbhole underlever double barrel shotgun, 28 inch Damascus black powder only proofed barrels engraved with a numeral 1 as well as makers name and 108 Mount St. Grosvenor Sqre London & 44 George St. Perth, finely engraved action and trigger guard, figured chequered stock with silver escutcheon engraved with an eagle above 'spe et amore' (hope and love) serial number 2836.
