A late 19th/early 20th century gem-set parasol handle terminal by Child & Child.
Of tapered form, the butterscotch amber handle encased within white metal mounts, set with round and oval gemstones to include cat's eye chrysoberyl, star pink sapphire, sapphire, turquoise, garnet, etc, with fancy belcher link chain handle, maker's sunflower mark together with registered 'wc hc' shield sponsor's mark, one gem deficient, length 5.6cm, gross weight 50.2g. Together with an early 20th century Brigg & Sons 9ct gold mounted silk parasol, bearing hallmarks for Charles Cooke, London, 1898.
