Joseph Kirk, Skegby, Longcase Clock
Joseph Kirk, Skegby, early 18th century longcase clock, 8-day movement striking on a single bell, brass arched dial with a 31 day calendar date dial to arch, silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals for hours and minutes, subsidiary minutes dial above a makers plaque for 'Jos. Kirk, Skegby'. All contained in a walnut case with caddy top and three large turned finials to canopy, pierced carving to frieze, glazed door and side panels, trunk with four turned columns to the corners, long door inlaid with feather-banding and double mould with central bullseye glass panel, box base.
