Colt Bisley flat top target .45LC revolver LICENCE REQUIRED
Colt Bisley flat top target .45LC revolver, 7.5inch barrel with maker address to the top, original .455 Eley calibre and model to the side picked out in white, flat top frame fitted with dovetailed rear sight, chequered hard rubber grips with Colt station logo, matching serial number 165429 for 1896 to frame, trigger guard, grip strap but not the cylinder, the loading gate stamped 39. Most parts reblued.
This revolver was originally chambered for .455 however a .45LC cylinder was used with it as the ammunition proved more convenient. The revolver was imported from the States by the vendor and never proofed in the UK. Upon submitting the revolver for sale, it was taken to be proofed where the .455 cylinder cracked and was failed. Consequently, the .45LC cylinder was fitted and the revolver proofed in this calibre.
