Swiss Model 1817/42 Percussion 17.6mm musket, 42inch sighted barrel with bayonet stud secured by two bands and a nose cap, one of the 1842 flint to percussion conversion programme of what was essentially an 1817 (French style) pattern flintlock musket, marked 'Ribent' (most likely the converter) with other inspection and Cantonal marks to breech, also M or HIR over 5Q to butt – probably a Unit marking.
Section 58 (2) Antique / obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence. Buyer must be over the age of 18.
Dimensions: 145.5cm long, will break down to 138cm for postage purporses.
