William Lakin Turner (1867-1936), Summertime - Causey Pike and Derwentwater, signed and dated 1910, titled on verso, oil on board, 24 x 34.5cm.; 9.5 x 13.5in. * William Turner was born in Barrow-on-Trent, Derbyshire, the son of landscape painter George Turner. He exhibited eleven works at the Royal Academy, usually woodland and mountain scenes of Scotland and the Lake District.
