Naval General Service medal 1793-1840 for James Cowan, with two clasps, Spartan 3rd May 1810 and Trafalgar. With National Archives scans of the muster book detailing Cowan.
Private Royal Marine James Cowan enlisted on the 16th August 1799 and joined the ship Belleisle on the 15th May 1802. He was wounded at the battle of Trafalgar and received £20 from the Lloyds Patriotic Fund for wounds received.
