Six pounder naval cannon, the late 18th / early 19th century barrel with a length of 40inches from muzzle to touch hole, an overall barrel length from muzzle to button of 52.5inches and a bore diameter of 3.75inches, mounted on a reproduction carriage. and is accompanied by a set of working drawings for the carriage.
The cannon is accompanied by a set of working drawings for the carriage. as well as short log of times it has been exhibited and fired. The gun was fired by the Duke of Westminster at the opening of the Police National Clay Pigeon Championship 1st -3rd September 1981. It was also used at the official opening of the Hampton Hall Pistol Range 1st May 1983 by Mr C. Halsall Assistant Chief Constable, Cheshire Constabulary.
