Lakin drab ware dessert service circa 1815, with sprig moulded floral borders painted en grisaille with landscapes, comprising of two pairs of dishes and six plates, impressed marks to bases, (10) Together with a copy of The Northern Ceramic Society Journal Volume 5 1984 which has a Harold Blakey's article on Thomas Lakin. Condition report: One heart shape dish has a rim crack. One rectangular dish has a rim nick, the other a foot chip. One plate has a minor rim nick. There is some gilt wear and black enamel flaking. Overall fine crazing.
