Wedgwood sphinx black basalt
Wedgwood black basalt sphinx modelled seated on rectangular base moulded with Egyptian iconography impressed marks to base, 20th century. 22cm high
CONDITION REPORT: No damage or restoration. There is a patch of glue or varnish to the underside of the base, the purpose of which is not known. There is also a pencil line to one corner of the base, indicating that this is possibly a second quality piece, the pencil line highlighting the fault. See images online which show this.
