A Victorian Gothic Revival 'Sir Walter Scott' Skeleton Clock, modelled after the Scott Monument and statue in Edinburgh designed by George Meikle Kemp and John Steell respectively (inaugurated 1846), the pierced and silvered chapter ring set with Roman numerals above cast gilt metal figures of Sir Walter Scott and his dog Maida, with chain-driven fusee and drum movement, presented on a stepped oval marble base to turned feet.
