An early Victorian rosewood and mother of pearl writing slope. With ebonised cross-banding inlaid with mother of pearl detail in a foliate bower pattern and mother of pearl escutcheon. The interior has blue velvet lining and compartments for ink and paper. Brass hinges stamped 'Horne Patent'. 9 x 35.5cm.
