Major Charlie Radford 16th / 5th The Queens Royal Lancers Patrol Jacket, name label dated 28/2/61 to inside.

Major Charlie Radford was the only 16th / 5th Officer to be awarded the Military Cross following the Second World War and rose to rank of Colonel, he survived in the 16th /5th Lancers from 1961 to 1982.

The collection contains an 1896 pattern sword formerly the property of Victoria Cross awardee Alexander Edward Murray (Viscount Fincastle) (1872-1962). Also an 1897 presentation sword given to Lieutenant. G Burridge in 1909. The Jacket of Major Cuthbert John Eccles 16th Lancers jacket, as well as the Dress Jacket and trousers of Major The Honourable Herbrand Alexander 5th Lancers,
