Mid-19th century, 8-day movement striking on a single bell with false plate, painted arched dial with rolling moon and illustrations to each spandrel, with black painted Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture. All contained in a mahogany case with ebony and boxwood stringing, swan neck pediment with central brass eagle finial, glazed door flanked by fluted square section columns, trunk with figured mahogany panels and door flanked by fluted pilasters, on a box base with chamfered edge. With brass fronted pendulum and both weights.
