Purchased by the vendor for his son from a bookshop in Nantwich in July/August 1997, most likely W. H. Smiths but possibly an independent retailer on Hospital St. that has since closed down, having heard a radio interview with Rowling discussing the book which had been published shortly before in June of that year.
