A 19th century Louis XIV style bracket clock and bracket. The red tortoiseshell boulle veneered case is embellished with brass mounts and overlay taking the form of acanthus leaves and putti, with large brass finial of a single putto sat atop a globe. The glazed front panel frames an embossed brass dial with enamel Roman numerals, and reveals a sunburst pendulum. With matching bracket. Eight-day, two train movement striking on a single bell.
