French Mle 1866 Chassepot bayonet, thought to be a captured refurbished bayonet with the spine text ground out, steel grip pins replaced with brass and leaf spring rivet has been replaced with a brass slotted screw, stamped with serial number L74539 to cross guard.

French M1874 Gras bayonet stamped to the right ricasso with an M in circle and S in a diamond, the blade spine engraved with script St Etienne February 1877.
