A trio of World War One medals awarded to Ben Watkin with death plaque, newspaper cutting, three letters and a photograph.

A World War One trio of medals awarded to 2. LIEUT. B. G. N. WATKIN R.F.A. to include 1914-15 Star, Victory Medal and British War Medal 1914-20, together with Memorial Plaque to Ben Gerald Noel Watkin, a photograph of the soldier and facsimiles of a copy of The County Herald, North Wales and Cheshire Advertiser, dated Friday February 5, 1915 noting the death for his country of Second-Lieut. Ben Watkin, 40th Battery of the Royal Field Artillery, and letters from the chaplain who was with Ben Watkin in France and a copy of a dictation made by the soldier the day before he died.

* Second Lieutenant Ben Gerald Noel Watkin served with the 40th Battery, Royal Field Artillery and died on 27th January 1915 aged 25. He is buried at Bethune Town Cemetery.
