Robert Sargent Austin R.A. (1895-1973), Hunter in a stable, signed and dated 1/33, crayon, 26.5 x 29cm.; 10.5 x 11.5in. * He studied at Leicester School of Art and at Royal College of Art, 1914-16 and 1919-22. Showed with the Royal Watercolour Society of which he was a member and president; Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers of which he was a member and president; and the Royal Academy to which he was elected in 1949. An exhibition of Austin's prints and drawings was held at Ashmolean Museum, Oxford and Leicester Museum and Art Gallery in 1980. Artists' Resale Right (droit de suite) may apply to this lot.
