England 1897 football cap
England football cap, 1897-98, awarded to William 'Charlie' Athersmith, purple velvet embroidered in silver thread with the England rosette and the season, signed Foster &Co, Oxford & London. *Charlie Athersmith played twelve times for England 1892 - 1900 in between his 308 appearances for Aston Villa. He died aged 38 in 1910.
