Admiral Sir Edward Codrington (1170-1851) signed letter dated May 11th 1819, the letter discusses an issue Codrington has asked a friend to 'speak to the Gentlemen in the House of Commons' as well as a visit he is planning, one sheet, 18.5cm x 11cm Admiral Codrington commanded H.M.S. Orion as part of Nelson's fleet during the battle of Trafalgar, the Orion forced the surrender of the French ship Swiftsure and took part in the action in which the Intrepide was captured.
