1803 pattern Infantry officers sword known as the 'Poulson Sword' together with a parchment Muster list, by Osborn's with engraved blade and GR monogram, lions head pommel and guard (partially missing) three scabbard mounts (lacking leather) one monogrammed 'J.P' blade length 76cm The parchment and ink muster list details a Grenadier Company with pencil alterations to the soldiers serving within the company. This sword can be traced back through the current vendors family to John Poulson (1795 - 1862) son of Joseph Poulson, Master Potter of Minton Stoke on Trent. The parchment list has always accompanied the sword and possibly details the unit Poulson served with.
