Enfield three band commercial .577 rifle, 39inch barrel with three groove rifling fitted with folding ladder sight, Birmingham 25 proof marks, Tower 1863 dated lock, the stock with Birmingham Small Arms cartouche and Isaac Hollis & Sons stamp, with socket bayonet stamped Lawrence.
The rifle is fitted with an odd US thread nipple perhaps indicating it is a Civil War import.
Section 58 (2) Antique / obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence. Buyer must be over the age of 18, age verification will be required if the lot is to be posted out.
