Cased glass ship, fitted in a good Victorian mahogany display case with pierced cornice and turned finial corners, the three mast brig contained within, scratch built probably in the mid-20th century, the case measures 93cm x 37cm x 86cm Provenance from the officers mess of H.M.S. Cygnet. Condition report: The case has a small crack to one panel, there is one glue block from the bottom detached. The case shows signs of age and wear with small shinkage splits but is very presentable. A section of moulding has been reattached with small nails. The ship also has signs of age especially to the paint and varnish, there is the occasional piece of rigging detached but is still presentable.
