Unusual Purdey 14 bore percussion side-by-side shotgun, with additional Westley Richards spare barrels and case, serial number 696, the Purdey 25inch Damascus barrels, with platinum breech plugs, engraved on the rib Purdey Prince Street, Leicester Square London, the additional set of 30 inch Damascus barrels with rib engraved Westley Richards, 170 New Bond Street London, shell and scrollwork engraved sidelock actions bearing maker name, chequered stock. The mahogany case is made to fit both original barrels and additional barrels, it contains a screwdriver, nipple key, brushes and jag, Westley Richards trade plate to the green baize inside lid. Also present is a hand written invoice from George Gooch, dated July 3rd 1886 for 'two pairs of nipples, stock polished, and chequered, sears cleaned'.
