Army & Navy Lee Speed .303 bolt action rifle, 24.5inch barrel fitted with sling loop, with adjustable two position foresight and rear sight graduated 100, 200 and 300 yards between three blades together with additional ladder sight, the action with magazine cut off, the bolt with dust cover engraved 'Army and Navy Co-operative Society Lim'd London' ten shot magazine with border engraving to match the rest of the rifle, chequered stock with horn end cap, blued steel butt plate with trap, serial number 22967.
This particular rifle was originally delivered to the Army & Navy Gun Dept. on 8 November 1897 and was sold by them to a “Dr. White” on 20 January 1898.
