.700 Nitro, 3 rounds.
These cartridges were produced by Wolfgang Romey circa 1993 and have his pentagon headstamp marking. Two are development rounds fitted with large magnum rifle primers with the headstamp of J A Shirley & Co who commissioned the tooling. Fitted with monolithic solid bullets. These rounds were produced for use in John Shirley’s .700 Nitro falling block rifle. The third round features a .50 cal BMG primer which was necessary to ignite the powder column. Fitted with a Woodleigh bullet.
